Alain is the Co-Founder and Managing Director, located in the London office. His responsibilities include overseeing the firm, managing Enko’s client relationships, and investment decision-making. Alain was previously a Managing Director for Global Macro Trading within the Proprietary Trading Group of Credit-Suisse in London, a group he joined in 2005 from JP Morgan, where he had held the same position since 2002.
From 2001 until 2002, Alain was a Portfolio Manager at BlueCrest Capital Management, and prior to that, he spent twelve years with JP Morgan (Chemical Bank). Alain has traded fixed income, currencies, commodities and stock indices over his 20+ years of experience. He is an adviser to Laurent-Perrier, a leading champagne company listed on the Paris Stock Exchange, having been a board member there from 1999 to 2009. Alain is also Executive Director for Ecobank Transnational Incorporated ETI. Alain holds an MSc in Electrical Engineering from Ecole Supérieure d’Electricité in Paris and an MSc from Ecole Supérieure de Commerce in Paris.
Kojo Amoo-Gottfried, Senior Portfolio Manager of the Enko Africa Debt Fund, has extensive experience in Emerging Markets investing. In his last role, he was the Portfolio Manager for the inaugural Africa Fund at FM Capital Partners, a multi-manager hedge fund. He has extensive experience in Africa, both in investment banking, where he helped to raise capital for sovereigns and corporates across the continent, and in the hedge fund space, where he has invested across the continent in multiple asset classes. He is a graduate of the London Business School and the London School of Economics with degrees in Economics and Finance.
Stephanie Sanchez Kuong
Stephanie Sanchez Kuong is a Portfolio Manager of the Enko Africa Debt Fund based in London. She contributes to idea generation, quantitative and statistical analysis and structuring for EADF. Prior to joining Enko, she was an EM Rates trader at BNP Paribas. She traded Sub Saharan Africa FX and Rates helping the bank build its SSA franchise. She then moved on to trading ZAR (South African Rand) rates shaping the bank’s footprint in the SAGB market. She has had exposure to the broad CEEMEA universe from highly liquid low beta rates to frontier fixed income markets.
Stephanie holds a MSc. in Mathematical and Computational Finance from the University of Oxford and a Diplome d’Ingenieur in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics from the ENISMAG in Grenoble.
Toller is a Portfolio Manager of the Enko Africa Debt Fund, located in the London office. Previously, Toller worked at Citigroup as an EM FX and Rates trader specialising in local African markets, also spending time an Emerging Markets Strategist, with many published reports to his name. He has expertise in the workings of frontier fixed income markets, from both a market-making as well as a macro-oriented, economic standpoint. Toller contributes towards the idea generation, structuring, optimisation and execution of the fund’s African fixed income portfolio. Toller holds a Masters of Engineering degree in Materials Science & Engineering from Imperial College London, specialising in nanomaterials & optoelectronics.
Simon is Chief Operating Officer based in the London office. His responsibilities include overseeing all non-investment management divisions of the Enko group. He has significant knowledge of both listed and owner managed businesses having held senior accounting and operational roles over the past 15 years .
Simon is a qualified Chartered accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He has a double honours degree from Birmingham University in Manufacturing Engineering and Business Studies.
Craig Stanley, CFA
Craig is a Partner with 20 years of experience, located in the London office. His responsibilities include the capital development and investor relations for the Enko Africa Debt Fund. Craig was previously Managing Director for Terra Partners Group from 2009 until 2017. From 2007 until 2008, he was a Director at SCM, a superannuation consultant and investment manager in Sydney, Australia, where he oversaw business development, funds management, and the firm’s investment committee.
From 2002 until 2007, Craig was a Regional Director at Allegiance Capital (since acquired by Macquarie) responsible for business development in the southeast U.S. and Latin America, as well as producing external-focused research. Craig was awarded the CFA charter in 2005 and has a BA (magna cum laude) from New York University. Craig is conversant in Japanese.
